I was asked to look into Known error for problem management. I found the following plugin.

I installed it in dev and noticed that it forced the user of Knowledge management advanced. So my question is if there is a way to make some fields editable without having to check out the KB Article. For example every year we have to review are KB articles?
So I was hoping I could make the Valid to date editable so they do not have to go thought the check out and publish for the article. We already have limited use of knowledge articles and I'm worried that having to checkout and republish every year just to update the valid to would cause our IT staff to not to want to use it.
