Kanban board not updating

Hi All,

I have an issue wherein when i drag the task from open to work in progress it does not change the state in Kanban but when I try to change the task state field it changes to the designated lane. What area would I check this? (by the way this is in digital product release workspace)

make sure their are no mandatory fields available while your draging the task record to between states.
