Hi,
We are using both the Agent and Now Mobile apps.
The com.sn_itsm_mobile (for Agent) and com.glide.mobile-employee (for Now Mobile) plugins are installed, so we have basic things like approvals available in both apps.
But when I go to Studio I only see the ITSM Mobile app (for Agent), not the many applications that come with the Now Mobile plugin.
Is there a way to make the Now Mobile applications available here, too?
I need to customize the approvals applet for Now Mobile, e.g. add fields to the list view, so I would rather do that in Studio than having to deal with that in the platform (see below) 🙂
Thanks,
Robert

Hello,
As part of the new Mobile App Builder tool, the Now Mobile application scopes should be editable using the new builder.

Hi Ather,
Thanks for your reply. I am afraid I have some trouble understanding what you are trying to say and I also do not know what "BU" application means. So maybe let me provide a specific example:
Both Agent (left) and Now Mobile (right) come with out-of-the-box applets that shows pending approvals:
I could easiliy customize the layout of the approvals applet for Agent in Studio (see below) but if I wanted to customize the Now Mobile approvals list there is no way I can do that within Studio (instead I would have to mess with the undocumented JSON shown in my initial post), or is there?
Regards,
Robert

Hi,
By BU Apps I mean the apps which are catering to a particular business need.
Like OOB the ITSM app is coming from the plugin ITSM Mobile and similarly, for Field Service management it is coming from the FSM mobile plugin. So if these components need to be changed you can change it from the studio.
however, there are certain components that are part of the application like the Service catalog and applet launcher which cannot be modified in the studio however you can use the studio to reach/navigate to those components.
Thanks,
Ather

Hi Ather,
Thank you, got it now.
Yes, I can use Studio to navigate through the Now Mobile application files. But nevertheless I will still see/edit them in the "platform look and feel" (e.g. the Item View form shown below), not in the more user friendly Studio look and feel, which is a pity.
So this also confirms my earlier assumption that I would either have to risk editing the out-of-the-box Now Mobile application files directly, or just create my own approvals applet and replace the built-in one with it.
One final question: so far I have figured out that the "Item Views" define the fields to be shown (Dependency fields) as well as their layout within the view (Item view JSON). But where are these seemingly random five-digit ID numbers coming from (see below, where 41928 refers to the Short description of a Requested Item)? Suppose I wanted to add an additional field, e.g. RITM number, to the view where would I find its "ID"?
Thanks,
Robert
