Setting up Automated Upstream/Downstream Entities

I have a source table where we have set up parent and child relationship between records. We are creating entities for records from the source table . Can by any chance we can automate the similar entity hierarchy creation as well without manually adding the upstream and downstream entities?

Any inputs will be appreciated.

As per community post : Need assistance with upstream and downstream entity relationship auto-generation , 

"entity hierarchy creation as of today is manual process, there is no automatic way of generating relationships. You can write some scheduled job to sync your hierarchy based on your requirements."
