Unable to assign control attestations in AI Risk and Compliance workspace

We’re currently testing the AI system registration process using AI Control Center.

We ran into an issue when trying to assign control attestations — they don’t seem to show up at all.

From what we understand, when opening an AI system (either from the AI systems list or in the Compliance workspace), there should be a “Risk and Compliance posture” dropdown where we can assign control attestations.

However, the dropdown itself is not visible, so we’re unable to proceed.

Are there any required configurations or roles needed to enable this?
Or are we possibly missing a step to make the dropdown appear?

Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi @Yamatai

1)  Ensure the user has the required role. Refer : Manage control attestations

2) Ensure respondent user is Active

3) Ensure All plugins are installed as per the list  . Refer Control assessment based on GRC attestation template

4)The Enable smart assessments on control system property must be set to true if you want to assess the controls using the assessment method based on GRC attestation template. For more information on the system property, see Enable smart assessments on control.

Hi Tanushree,

Thank you for your response.

I’ve gone through the points you shared and confirmed the following:

  1. Required roles
→ The user has the necessary roles as per the documentation.
  2. Respondent user is active
    → Confirmed.
  3. Required plugins
→ Verified that some of the relevant plugins (including sn_smart_asmt_mig) are not installed in our environment.
Based on our comparison with another environment where the "Risk and Compliance posture" dropdown is available, it appears that these plugins are not required.
  4. System property (Enable smart assessments on control)
    → Currently set to false.
We also confirmed that this property is set to false in another environment where the dropdown is visible.

Despite the above, the "Risk and Compliance posture" dropdown is still not visible in our environment, so we are unable to assign control attestations.

Could you please advise if there are any additional prerequisites or conditions for this dropdown to appear?

We found that the issue was caused by a layout change after updating to the Australia release.

Thank you for your support and guidance!
