Configure NA Icon on Employee Center to only display for specific groups of users

We have enable NA chat on Employee Center and the chat icon appears by default to all users in EC. We would like to restrict access to the Now Assist in EC for a specific group of users in phase 1. Is there a way to do this OOB or via customization?
