How to write prompts in Prompt editor?

I am using ServiceNow's AI generated prompt assistance. What ever prompt it is generating, I am using the same but it throws an error.

(1) how to troubleshoot/understand why the promt is not working (strange thing is, it is SerivceNow geenrated prompt)

(2) Any tips or guidance on writing prompts for requirements?

@Suggy ,

you should begin by clearly defining the specific outcome you want (for example: summarise this requirement in three sentences, or provide the next steps for change analyst review ), then supply all necessary context such as form values, user role, or record type so the system can understand the environment, and finally structure your prompt logically using roles or steps (for example: You are a service catalog SME, review the following details and output a checklist ), because without specificity and context the AI may misinterpret the scope and throw an error or deliver an irrelevant output.....

@kaushal_snow First of all thank you so much for replying.

Now coming to the prompting, yes I understand that Prompting is a skill of writing clear and effective instructions.

But I am talking about ServiceNow inbuilt AI generated prompt assistance. So what is the point of giving that feature when it doesnt work?

I used several instructions for different scenarios and none of them work and all gives error.

And the sad part is, ServiceNow will not even show what went wrong/why that error 😕

Hi Suggy

I see - Response is expected in Given JSON Format.

 (1) Is Response is coming in Plain Text - Let Say you Changed the Prompt from JSON to Plain Text

(2) I assume JSON Format is Correct . What if for Testing you Start if one Field in JSON and then Keep Adding to Know at what point error is coming?

Just a thought.
