Now Assist for Search Prompt

Hi all,

I’m using Now Assist for AI Search and noticed that, despite “Native Translation” being enabled, some responses are still not in German. When I add “Please answer in German” before each query, the results improve.

Is there a better way to enforce language consistency or to adjust the prompt?

Or do I need to script the Widget and put a +"Please answer in german" before every query?

Now Assist in AI Search only supports Dynamic Translation today, so if you add German Dynamic Translation to your Now Assist configuration, it should work the way you expect (without needing to specific that you want the response in German).

Hey Gerard,

thank youv ery much for the quick response. OOTB Native Translation is activated, but it only translats back into German around 10% of the time I have tested it.

I saw in the documentation, that I could activate both: native and dynamic - unfortunatly both settings are greyed out in the NA Admin Setting section "Region and Language" and I can't find out why.

Do you have any hints for me that I could check?

(Dynamic Translation is installed and Azure MS OEM is activated and set as default detector and translator.)

Dynamic Translation needs to be turned on and active in the Now Assist Admin panel and German needs to be selected there. Native Translation isn't supported for Now Assist Q&A/Synthesized response yet.
