Good afternoon,
I'm currently utilising Now Assist in an instance, and would like to have visibility of inputs / outputs at a transaction level. I've reviewed the Now Assist Admin area, and have high-level visibility of utilisation, however, I have no visibility of the usage for Now Assist(ant).
I would like to see what people are asking for, so that I can ensure the solution is configured to cater for their needs, and without this I'm limited to improve the solution.
Has anyone found a solution to get to this information? Are there tables available that contain the inputs and outputs?

You need to go deeper to AI logs and check the transaction.
- sys_gen_ai_usage_log.list which gives overview of skill being used, and consumed assist tokens.
- sys_generative_ai_log.list for detailed AI logs
- sys_generative_ai_metric.list for metric on things like guardian, data privacy...
- sn_aia_execution_plan.list for complete log and chat history for agentic workflow
Thanks
Anand

Hi
Some Detailing Around The tables.
sys_gen_ai_usage_log-
- The sys_gen_ai_usage_log table is the main log for Generative AI feature usage, primarily used for billing, high-level activity tracking, and reporting.
- Each record in this table logs an invocation of a Generative AI feature, with the "assists" column representing usage based on predefined ratios, not a direct count of actions.
- For example, a value of 25 in the "assists" column does not mean 25 assists were consumed; it reflects a small workflow (0-4 actions) as defined for licensing and reporting.
- The table is automatically populated upon feature usage, and if there is a calculation failure, a scheduled job retries the calculation hourly.
- Usage is measured over the prior 365 days, summed across all production and sub-production instances associated with the account.
- Admins can access this table for reporting, and it is also used by other licensing-related applications to generate dashboards.
sys_gen_ai_log_metadata-
- Access to the sys_gen_ai_log_metadata table is not directly available. To enable access, an admin user must add the table name to the system property "glide.ui.permitted_tables" without any spaces (e.g., ,sys_gen_ai_log_metadata). This table is a system table and is not listed in the permitted system table list by default. More details can be found here .
- The sys_gen_ai_log_metadata table contains a subset of non-sensitive fields from the deeper sys_generative_ai_log table and is designed for admin reporting and analytics. It is useful for most analytics use cases but does not include all columns or sensitive data. For more granular data, sys_generative_ai_log is only accessible to ServiceNow internal staff, but sys_gen_ai_log_metadata is available for admin reporting .
- This table is also recommended for debugging and analytics related to AI agents.
Regards
RP

Most usage insights come from these:
sys_gen_ai_usage_log — tracks assist usage.
sys_gen_ai_log_metadata — contains metadata about the logs.
For guardrail / Now Assist Guardian logging, there’s sys_generative_ai_metric.
If you want detailed conversation level transcripts (exact prompt and response), that’s not stored in a customer visible record table by default as per my knowledge......
If you found my response helpful, please mark it as ‘Accept as Solution’ and ‘Helpful’. This helps other community members find the right answer more easily and supports the community.
