Promoting Now Assist changes from Dev to Prod

Hi Guys,

What's the best way to move developments related to Now Assist from sub production environments to prod environment?

I'm setting up our dev environment and production (plugin installation, updates etc) at the moment and I did some configuration to the skills such as incident summarization. I can see that the changes are tracked and recorded in "Now Assist for ITSM" scope, but I'm not sure how to retrieve it and commit it in production.

When I go to application manager, I can find the app "Now Assist for IT Service Management (ITSM)" and I have an option to "Proceed to Update". Is this the way to bring the dev changes over to prod and are there any alternatives, rollback options?

Thank you!

Atul: This is what you are referring to Plugin update to the latest version of Now Assist. This is not like update set movement.

eventhough fully out of context. You need to capture the chages in update set only.

I've updated plugins through this same screen and now I can see there is an additional "latest customized version" field and the changes I made in dev are visible under "update details" and the list data and timestamp matches my actual changes in dev.

I couldn't find any SN documentations on how to promote these changes but I feel clicking on "proceed to update" will bring the changes from dev to prod. Just curios how everyone else push these into prod now.

Hi @Sam10

Friend, this is a plugin created and maintained by ServiceNow, and it gets updated from time to time. Are you referring to this? If yes, then for all environments, the same steps need to be followed in the upper environments.
