Service Now MCP with Skills VS Custom MCP and Its Tool (Pointing to ServiceNow)

Hi All n Experts

 

Just a Brainstorming and input  i am looking from AI Experts.

 

Scenario:

ServiceNow is the ITSM Solution used by Customer. 2 weeks back ServiceNow Released MCP Server on ServiceNow Itself. 

Few Months Back Customer Built In House MCP using Python SDK FAST MCP.  On this in House MCP there are Few Tools Developed Using PYTHON. These Tools are Used by AI BOT Which is Used by whole Enterprise.

 

Enterprise BOT (VIVA using AWS Services) ---------Custom MCP & Tool (Python Fast MCP) ---- LOT Of API Calls------ ServiceNow Instance

 

 VS

 

Enterprise BOT (VIVA using AWS Services) ---------ServiceNow MCP Server & Tool (Now Assist Skills) ---------- ServiceNow Instance (Tools/Skills Running on Instance itself)

 

Just Need input on two scenarios from Architecture Perspective, Pro n Cons.
