Seeing the details for the Spotlight record is vital to taking action. In this next video, we are going to add Incident data to the form, so we can know more about the Spotlight Record we are looking into.

Procedure:

  • Right-click on the header, select Configure > Form Layout
  • Here we will select the columns that we would like to see. In this case, they are:
(Number, Short Description, Caller, State, Opened, Priority, Category, Assignment Group, Assigned To, Score, |- begin_split -|, |- split -|, |- end_split -|
  • Click Save, you will now see that we have information on our form.

Here you can see that we added multiple fields from the Incident table and also the Score field from the Spotlight Group record.

In this video, we created a Relationship between the Incident Spotlight table and the Spotlight Audit table.  Then we added the Spotlight Audit Relationship (that we created) as a Related List in the form. You can of course rearrange the columns whichever way makes sense for your Business Case.

Procedure

  • Navigate to System Definition > Relationships
  • Click New
  • Name: Spotlight Audit
  • Applies to table: u_incident_spotlight or yours may be (incident_spotlight).
  • Queries from table: spotlight_audit.
  • Add this line of script into the Query with section:

    current.addQuery('spotlight’, ‘=’, parent.spotlight_sys_id);

Click Submit

  • Navigate back to Spotlight > Spotlight Groups
  • Click on Incident Spotlight
  • Click on Launch Spotlight Interactive Analysis
  • Click on the button for one of the Incident Numbers.
  • Click on the hamburger menu, select Configure > Related Lists
  • Move Spotlight Audit from Available to Selected, click Save

Notice, we now have a Related List, named Spotlight Audit.
  • You can now rearrange the columns, to what works for your Business Case.
