Typed questions from the Academy Session

  1. Is there a table that we can report on that shows if a report is on a dashboard? Or what dashboard it is on?
Answer - Try this article on how to do that: https://sn.works/analytics/usage/dashboardcontents
  2. Would we also be able to see who is accessing a report and when? And will I be able to create additional reports from that data?
Answer - Yes that is available from the Report Statistics - https://docs.servicenow.com/ja-JP/bundle/sandiego-now-intelligence/page/use/reporting/reference/repo...
  3. Sorry, not related to the subject of this session but is important to us as we are in the process of upgrading from Utah to Vancouver. In our Vancouver instance, on the list of reports placed on the dashboards, the headers disappear when we switch to “None” on the Group by drop-down. Is there a fix or a workaround?
Answer - Let me check internally, but I believe we have fixed it recently and planning to backport to the latest Vancouver patch in the plans.
  4. There is not currently a dashboard grouping feature in Next Experience. So wouldn't this be lost in migration?
Answer - Correct, right now it is not available in Platform Analytics Experience. We are looking now at how we can support them
  5. Is that fine if we deactivate glide.report.published_reports.enabled property to remove the publish option from the report?
Answer - You will want to get with your admin to ask this. You would need to find out if a published report is being used somewhere, if not and you don’t want it, ask your Admin to turn it off.
  6. Does the Vancouver patch include the fix for hidden headers on the list of reports?
Answer - Safe harbor but should be Vancouver Patch 5
  7. Will there be a way to see if a dashboard has been mitigated? Example: Migrated everything viewed in last 90 days and want to confirm there are not any others that should be migrated but to not migrate it twice.
Answer - Yes there will be an option to see if they are already migrated. everything that is migrated will have a link to the migrated version when you are an admin
