In our prior Platform Analytics Academy session on September 6th, we offered a sneak peek into Platform Analytics' future. We discussed the forthcoming Next Analytics Experience, which unified valuable features and introduced exciting additions to the W&X releases. Responding to your feedback from surveys, we hosted Part 2 with a Recap, Demo, and extended Live Q&A. Many attendees from the previous session sought insights into upcoming benefits, training, and preparations for the journey ahead. We hope you joined us for Part 2, where your questions were warmly welcomed.

Question Answer
Can we make a correlation between Incidents and Changes? Yes. Can you give an example of what you are looking for?
I have seen that Process Mining can be embedded in Platform Analytics already. Are you planning to change something for Process Mining configuration as well? Here, visualizations/workflows are still a completely different thing. Hi, we are working with process mining to bring together more and more the 2 products. If you have any specific feedback and what you would like to see please let us know further.
Is there a way to know how long each visualization takes to render? Now you can only do it via browser network call, but we will be adding the performance tracking for better admin in the coming versions
Do you need Process Optimization to use the PA Optimization capabilities? Yes you will need a Process Mining/optimization license to take advantage of it
Regarding proactive analytics - which subscription does it require?  Proactive analytics is part of the PRO bundles capabilities with Performance Analytics
Will there be an "Admin console" equivalent available to help with stats, issue identification, etc.? We are looking at how we can improve in the next releases the Admin experience for Analytics. If you would like to share your input and be part of future user sessions and prototyping reviews please let us know. It would be incredibly useful for us.
So the migration tool will become available with Yokohama? Or on an opt-in basis prior to that? Opt-in will be available from Washington
Does Yokohama release move analytics content from core UI automatically such as dashboards and reports? Yes
Will there be tools/guidance/recommendations available to assist with moving to the Next Experience Analytics?  I'd like to explore this in Washington but would need to know what to look out for.  Don't want to spring surprises on anyone. Hi, the migration tool and center will provide the overview of what has been migrated and you will be able to compare between the CoreUI dashboard and the next experience look and feel. As well as see if any change was logged
Hello, Will the Next Experience be more friendly with update sets? Hello, Will the Next Experience be more friendly with update sets? We are looking into this use case right now,
Can we make a correlation between Incidents and Changes tables ? Do we need to use SQL to work with two tables? Does it work with UTAH? Have you checked out the CMDB Query Builder? Here is a session that talks through it: https://www.servicenow.com/community/performance-analytics-blog/platform-analytics-academy-october-1...

This is a way to connect these two tables and do some reporting on them together.
Is there going to be a utility for dashboard usage in the Next Experience (now built in the platform analytics?) or you mean the usage of dashboards in the current view We have added in Vancouver the possibility to track the usage of CoreUI dashboards. We plan in the version of the migration tool to also allow you to see the usage of the CoreUI dashboards and reports before you commit to move/migrate them.
Do we need an additional module in order to access the UI builder that was mentioned? Do we need an additional module in order to access the UI builder that was mentioned?UI Builder is available in all instances, the menu is called UI Builder. but you need the ui_builder_admin role.
Can bar charts act as Filters in Platform Analytics? We always wished they could in old-style Reports. We will be adding this option in the next release, first for bars and pies, would be great to hear what other top charts you want to be working as a filter.
To follow up on the flexible visualization question answered by Dan... storing the indicator scores etc. differently (not in a huge table) would allow more possibilities in UI builder. The underlying architecture of PA date is currently a limitation. Good clarification. Yes, the data model is undergoing a rebuild as we speak. The new data model could become available as soon as Washington, but more likely in the X timeline. (Safe harbor, as things can change). I’ll post a link to a session on the Next Analytics Model.
Will scheduling reports also be under data visualization? Yes, you can already find in in Visualization Designer, you can schedule visualization based on any data source: indicators/ table/ usage data.
Will there still be the concept of Report source / Data source that is reusable pre-filtering? Yes, we still have it - all the report sources are available once you select the table as “predefined conditions” in addition to ad hoc conditions you can create via condition builder.
To verify if incidents increased has we are implementing changes (correlation between the number of incidents and Changes)? Using the CMDB Query Builder, you are able to see if any Incidents have been created that are connected to a Change, somewhere down the line.  This is the use case that was used in the Academy session that I sent the link to.  I would start there, if you are not able to find what you are looking for with that, then the Community would be a great source to ask specific questions about your Use Case.
What does the 'Certified' tab mean on My Analytics... options were Bookmarked and Certified... We allow dashbaord_admin and visualization admins to mark the analytics content as Certified, meaning these are the approved dashboards or visualizations that we are tracking at the company level or team that is using the correct and validated set of conditions or metrics.
What is the relationship between the new dashboards and workspace landing pages? Can dashboards be a landing page or displayed in workspaces (Service Operations Workspace, for example)? The landing page is generally a standard UXF page, which can have any dynamic content, personalized for a user. By default most of the workspaces we deliver by SN do not use a dashboard as a landing page if you would use a Normal page built via UIB it allows you to build a more targeted experience for your users, with more personalized/dynamic content, more interactions, and any custom navigation flow.

You (admin/app owner) can however set a dashboard as a landing page as well as a workspace.

If we talking about a global landing page, the end user can make any page as a landing, dashboard, default, or any page in the system
How is next experience analytics enabled? is it linked to a plugin or is it a property that comes with a specific platform version? It comes with the platform, if you are already using CoreUI analytics (PA and Reporting) after the full move/migration to next experience analytics you will see only the new next experience unified analytics.
Does moving from the old to the new have to be done for everything all at once? You will be allowed to test some Dashboards but afterward, the real benefit is when all the previous reports, pa widgets, and filters are migrated alongside the dashboards.
How does the conversion of the 2 legacy filters work (given there’s a generic one in the Next Experience)? The breakdown dashboard filters and the interactive filters are mapped to the new next-experience dashboard filters. To have a consistent look and feel and configuration from that point onward
For current out-of-the-box dashboards.... is it better to convert from existing dashboards or will it make more sense to load new 'Experience' versions? If you have modified/changed the OOTB dashboard then we suggest customers migrate them.
Our teams are working during Washington and Xanadu to deliver the new Next Experience dashboard for all customers,
When will OOB items be within the Next Analytics? That will be variable as the workflow product teams develop their new content. You should expect to start seeing new OOB content in Washington, and they should all be available by Yokohama.
Can we start in UTAH? In Utah you can start using platform analytics workspace, but we don’t have options to migrate automatically your content. So typically you would use it either as new customer, or if you roll out new users/products, who don’t have dashboards in UI16 yet, ot it is very little and they can recreate it.
Going forward, will you share an update on what will be possible regarding the customization of widgets (like dynamic content blocks now in self-service dashboards)? A lot of the capabilities of the content blocks can be created via the UI Builder using the Technical dashboards
