In this Platform Analytics Academy session we held a "Ask the Experts" session for Utah - Next Experience Analytics. Many great questions were asked and great answers were given. 1. Are Manager Rollups currently supported in Next Experience? Will there be an updated walkthrough if/when the option becomes available? 04:45 - Follow up question: In the past, for example, if we had a filter for Service Offering and a report for something grouped by Service Offering on a dashboard, the filter wouldn't work. We sometimes have filters with multi-select available and having filters + group bys of the same type would be useful. Is this on the roadmap at all? - Click here for answer!

3. What great K23 content do you have planned?
Typed Answer: There is actually great content planned around how to best use data visualizations and filters to their extended capabilities within Next Experiences. I know there are actually some academy/workshops around those. But I bet that Thomas/Dan can highlight some others.
4. We get a lot of requests to visualize data from indicator scores and breakdowns in ways that are not supported by the older widgets... for example sorting and filtering in indicator scorecards, and otherwise customizing what is available there. How much flexibility is planned in this area for Next Experience? - Click here for answer!
5. How can reports shared with users with the report_group role be restricted from being edited by them? If the user only has report_user it's fine - the user cannot edit the report. But report_group users can edit any report shared with them. - Click here for answer!
6. Are there any plans to provide a better view for individuals into the various ACLs required for stakeholders to access certain data, or will this remain a security admin responsibility? - Click here for answer!
7. With the homepage deprecation tool, we have it set up in test, we ran it, retired homepages in the test environment, and the next day, our original numbers more than doubled. Once we set it up there were 1000 homepages that needed to be addressed. Day 2 that number increased to 1500, the 3rd day it increased to 2500. Do you know why this number is increasing or what is going to happen when we turn it on in production? We set it up in the test environment after a clone to get a picture of what we will see in production. Any assistance you can provide is appreciated. - Click here for answer!

9. Where is the best place to do calculations on metrics for reporting? Averages, Sums of duration, etc. - Click here for answer!

10: On the calendar visualizations, it would be great if we could have the ability to color based on specific criteria. Is this available? - Click here for answer!
11. Any updates to Report Ranges in Utah? We are trying to use report ranges to report on price information by department for the month.
Typed Answer: No changes in Utah. But if you have a number you should be able to set report ranges on price field.
12. Can we get the average age of the active tickets per month?
Typed Answer: Do you mean all tickets that were ever active in a month, or just tickets that are active at the end of the month? The first option would include tickets that were open, and later closed during that month. If you want to look at tickets that were open at any time in a month, be careful that the scores won’t necessarily tell you what you want. The average score would skew heavily towards tickets that were active at both the start and the end of the month.
13. How can we share PA widgets via scheduled reports? Is a scheduled report for - let’s say a scored, filtered formula PA indicator - possible? Following up, can we schedule reports of dashboards for managers who can’t log into the system? - Click here for answer!
14. I hope this isn't away from topic - do single score reports not follow ACL rules? Like list reports would do? What about bar graph etc? - Click her for answer!
15. We have not migrated to Next Experience yet (due to Connect Chat / translation dependencies) but, can Next Experience be enabled for a single user (or subset of users), or it does it have to be enabled for ALL users? and, once enabled, can it be disabled? - Click here for answer!
16. What successes have you/your team seen with other teams planning the migration of homepages to dashboards? Could I get a high-level action plan/suggestions please? 18. Specific PA question....If you aggregate records by MONTH SUM or MONTH SUM+ using a breakdown where the value changes during the month (priority, assignment group, etc), does PA by default pull in records that had that value at any point during the period? Trying to tell a stakeholder what the expected behavior should be 🙂 - Click her for answer!
19. We have a pa indicator that counts a subset of changes. Any suggestions for creating a breakdown based on the Change - CI - Class? ie. we want to be able to say xx changes were for servers and xx were for databases, etc. - Click here for answer!

21. Are there plans to add tools to help with dashboard management? I'd like to have a way to check for dashboards that haven't been used within the last 6 months. This would help us with "clean up" activities. - Click here for answer!
22. You mentioned store releases - what should we be doing monthly / quarterly to make sure we running new updates?
Typed Answer: We generally doing a Quarterly frequency: Feb, May, August, Nov. There are cases when specific application can skip one of the releases, but often we have quarterly updates
