Recently, I asked a question on poll on my LinkedIn and Twitter on best way to provide help to end users on ServiceNow forms and lists view. The most common option chosen was 'Knowledge Articles'.

However, there is no easy way to display Knowledge articles on each and every list or forms of ServiceNow, except we have one, Embedded Help. This is an OOB ServiceNow functionality where you can configure Embedded Help for users for each and every page of ServiceNow based on user roles.

Moreover, we can configure Embedded Help based on Query parameters of the URL. I loved this functionality as it makes this embedded help highly configurable.

The best example for using query parameter help would be: If you want to you want to display a separate text on Embedded Help on new record form and existing record form.

I am confident that you will recommend this functionality to your stakeholders to make life simpler for your end users.
