Creating a line chart showing open vs closed

Hi all,

Figured this was a relatively straight forward thing to do, but really struggling to work it out. Want to create a line chart, with two lines. Showing Opened vs Closed per month for this year. Can't seem to figure out how to make this work, when I do get two lines to show it's not correct.

I'm using standard OOB reporting, do not have performance analytics

Hi Daniel

you can create 2 datasets - 1 for open and 1 for closed, trend on open one by opened per month and trend on closed one by Closed per month.

You will have to filter these data sets by statuses - Open (filter by everything in open state or active is true) etc.

please let me know if this makes sense.

Click on icon on the right.

There you will be able to add another dataset (report) with different conditions.

please see attached - yes you create 2 data sets.

please select the button attached, please note that to see this you will need to be in New UI view not not Classic UI.

let me know if you come right.

Yes create these with in the report - your first data set will be the main report and add one for closed incidents.
