Drill down is not working in platform analytics (data visualization) help?

Hi,

I have updated the platform analytics plugin and drill down chat interaction related plugin.

I have created a single score report using a data base view table and drill down to vertical bar report. its not working.

Have tried creating a vertical bar and the drill down to horizontal bar, its not working.

When I added the data visualizations to the dashboard, it not working as well.

Any help on this would be really appreciated. Our client really wnats the drill down to work in the dashboard.

1. Created a single-score data visualization using one of our OOTB database views as the data source. Saved it.

2. Under Chart Interactions, selected Drill down to chart
3. Selected the only available metric, which was the same database view.

4. Configured a horizontal bar visualization on that metric, including a Group by with 5 values, and saved it.

5. Selected the option to put the visualization in a new dashboard, which opened that dashboard.

6. Saved the dashboard.
7. Exited editing mode.
8. Performed drilldown.

I encountered the same issue - what helped me though - much to my surprise:

• save your visualisation to the library
• go to the library and find your saved visualisation
• edit it and find in the chart interactions the new option "add drill-down"

The mind boggles a bit why it's not available in the dashboard editor, but I'm happy camper.

Add drill down is not supported for data visualizations that exist only as local copies on a dashboard, though I am not sure why it is not supported on dashboard editor for shared visualizations if you have a role that allows editing of shared visualizations. You would be forced to save the change to the data visualization library, though, not locally. I have asked dev.

Regarding why local dashboard visualizations are not supported, I have been told "The challenge was on where to store the information of the drilldowns on the dashboard metadata, if I remember correctly."
