Hi ServiceNow Community,
does anybody know something about some planned changes regards to the excluded tables for the AI Search indexing?
ServiceNow describes in their documentation, that AI Search excludes tables like Base Configuration Item or Task. You can't configure these tables, or tables derived from them, as AI Search indexed sources.
Doc URL: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/sandiego-platform-administration/page/administer/ai-search/concept/reference-ais.html#excluded-tables-ais
I'am really sad about that, because we want to create indexed sources for the tables 'cmdb_ci_service' and 'service_offering'. We made a service portal page with information about our Service Portfolio that we provide to our customers. So it would be realy nice to give our users the ability to use the AI Search for our Service Portfolio page.
Maybe in future releases some more tabels allowed for AI Search indexed sources.
Kind regards,
Benedikt

Hi Benedikt,
We are adding more tables over time. There are plans for incidents, for example, via a store app that is planned to release in May. The cmdb data is still not included....
If there are missing tables that you are interested in, our Product Management team is always keeping an eye out in the Idea Portal. So please submit this as an idea!
Best,
Gerard

As long as you're on San Diego or later, you should be able to index the task table and children.
