While working in the ITBM PPM area, I made a copy of the Portfolio Manager Dashboard and renamed it HR PMO Portfolio Manager dashboard. I did this because I liked the out of box dashboard and wanted to keep it while adding two new widgets to the new dashboard.
Opportunity: I wanted my new HR PMO Portfolio Manager Dashboard to appear in the navigation pane in place of the Portfolio Manager Dashboard. It was easy to hide the PFMD by deselecting the Active check box. I cannot figure out how to get the new HRPFMD to appear in the navigation pane. The PFMD was setup as a "Homepage" but I cannot find a way to get the new HRPMPMD to set as a "Homepage". Not even sure if I'm going about this the right way.
Thanks!
Tom

Tom - if you want to make anything appear in application navigator, then you have to create module ( in your requirement "Portfolio Manager Dashboard" is a module and based on your requirement you want to exact same module with different name ) , so any how if you will copy the dashboard then you have to create a module.
if you want to copy or make the exact replica of OOTB module then better i would say , just edit that module and hit on insert and stay button. that would be easy way to accomplish this task.
you can disable your dashboard which you had copied and try with the steps which i had mentioned above.
give a try and let us know if you need any further assistance on it.

Harsh,
"...so any how if you will copy the dashboard then you have to create a module."
This is the piece I'm missing (not understanding). I have the out of box dashboard copied as a dashboard, how do I now create a new module for this dashboard so i can present in the pane? Can you show steps to copy, then present both with different names (old & new?) next to each other.
Thanks,
Tom

is it possible if you can connect me at google hangout ?
if yes then let's connect at hvrdhn88@gmail.com
refer the below doc link,
once you will create a module make sure you make the LINK Type as URL( form arguments ) , and then in arguments field mention your dashboard url ($pa_dashboard.do?embedded=true&dashboard=2026cff013151200c65850f32244b0c6&tab=c41dfcce13911200c65850f32244b073 ).

Hope it will help you.
