How to show custom dashboard 'My Team Dashboard' By default to all ITIL users?

Hi Everyone,

I have a one requirement that when ITIL user log in, he should be by default redirected to custom dashboard named as "My Team dashboard".

For such kind of scenario, I have updated glide.home.page and glide.login.home properties. Please see attached Images. It's working. when user login he directly redirects to the dashboard.

I have given 'pa_review' role to the ITIL user and have created one custom dashboard named as 'My Team Dashboard'. I want to show that dashboard only to the ITIL users.

when ITIL user loged in, OOB dashboards are displayed but my newly created dashboard "My Team dashboard" is not displayed.

In the 'Dashboard properties'     i have given 'itil' role in 'Requires Role'   but it's not working. Any ideas on how this can be achieved?

Hi Jyoti,

Please set the order of the dashboard with low value. Always the lowest order Homepage is displayed. Also you might check the User Preference named 'homepage' and check which homepage is set against the users. The 'Order' Field indicates the order the dashboard should appear on the dashboards choice list. Dashboards with lower numbers are listed before dashboards with higher numbers.

The dashboard displayed on the Home page is that Last Viewed dashboard.

I have created one dashboard and I want to share that dashboard with ITIL users only. In dashboard properties, I have set Access control section   Visible to Everyone, Requires Role: pa_viewer, ITIL. But don't know why its not working..If u have Any idea then Please let me know.

Hi Jyoti,

As you have said, is correct that the in the choice list always the lowest order comes up. Also the lowest order homepage is supposed to show as Homepage for those who have access via roles.

As you have mentioned always the last viewed homepage is being shown is because of the User Preference. Please navigate to User Administration-->user Preference-->Search name as homepage and check the user with and check the value, The Value will be nothing but the sys_id of the homepage which is changed last time, as you have said viewed last time. Please replace the value with the sys_id of the desired homepage and it will do the trick for that user.

I tried it but my newly created dashboard is not display in the dashboard choice list.
