Is there a way to create a data visualisation that shows the time since a field was last updated?

I'm trying to create a data visualisation in a dashboard which shows how long its been since an incident's state was changes. For example, I want to see how long it took for an incident to go from Work in Progress to Closed Complete. 

Additionally, I'd like to be able to see a visualisation of incidents which have been open for a long time, i.e. more than 6 months.

Is there any way to do this? I am not the most experienced with ServiceNow as a platform and I haven't been able to find any guides which could help me. I'd greatly appreciate any help I can get.

first of all, "Closed complete" seems to be more a state of RITM/REQ than Incident ;))

I don't know about any capability to show the time since last update, perhaps you might create a custom field that would calculate [actual time] [minus] [last update time] and then add this field to the dashboard. This sounds like an overkill.

What would be the benefit of having this?

You might want to add a data visualisation with records not updated in 24 hours, not updated in last 7 days, something like this. Wouldn't that be sufficient?
