Need Help: Drilldown Functionality Based on Department → Category/Priority in PA Dashboard

Hi Community,

I have a requirement in Performance Analytics (PA) where I need to implement a drill-down feature on a dashboard widget.

 

Use Case:

• The initial data should be grouped by department.

• When I click on a specific department, I want the data to drill down into another breakdown, such as category, priority, or other fields.

 

What I’ve Tried:

• Created the necessary indicators and added breakdowns (department, category, priority).

• Configured Breakdown Relationships.

• Tried using Scorecard and Time Series widgets.

However, the drilldown isn't working as expected—it only shows the top-level data and doesn't drill into the next level.

 

What I Need Help With:

• How to properly configure multi-level drilldowns in Performance Analytics?

• Do I need to use breakdown combinations or a specific widget type to make this work?

• Are there any common issues or version-related limitations that could block drilldown from working?

 

Additional Help (as I’m still learning PA):

• How do the pa_scores_l1 and pa_scores_l2 tables work in the context of drilldowns?

• What gets stored in each table, and how can I confirm if my breakdown values are being scored properly in pa_scores_l2?

• If l2 is empty, does that mean the breakdown combination isn't working or the data collector isn’t configured correctly?

Even a basic explanation or troubleshooting steps would be really helpful, as I’m just getting started with Performance Analytics.
