Open Incident State Monitor Dashboard Not Returning Data

Scott Jordheim

I'm relatively new to Performance Analytics. We have recently ran the data collector jobs for the "trial" version of Performance Analytics for Incident Management on Istanbul. All was going well until I reviewed the Open Incident State Monitor dashboard. I noticed most of the modules on this dashboard are returning "No data available". (See below.) What would I have to modify to have this return data? I'm also a little curious on what this dashboard's intended function is. The Open Incidents Age Monitor dashboard is working as expected.

Thanks!

Click on the + sign in the top right corner of the dashboard to go into edit mode.   Then mouse over the top right corner of the widget/workbench and click on the gear to edit the widget.

What does the job log say?

Here is a copy of the log (with only messages concerning open incidents).   All of the Job Events have noted the collectors have ended ok. We have had 7 Daily Data Collection jobs run and 1 Historic Data Collection.

I think this is the problem, but I could be wrong. (From the dashboard in question, I clicked on the "Average open age" widget to get there). All of the widgets in that row show the same "State=Unknown" when clicked on.

Since incident probably do not have an unknown state, it makes sense there are none of them.   How did you get to that scorecard from the work bench?   Check the workbench configuration to make sure there is no breakdown selected or that it has a breakdown and an element.

From the Open Incident State Monitor dashboard within Performance Analytics, I clicked on the various widgets / scorecards. Do you happen to know how I would go about updating all of these (the main dashboard where it shows New / In Progress / On Hold and the Average open age, etc.).

I've been looking around, but haven't had much luck. (Sorry if this is something really simple to do and i'm just missing it. Still getting used to this application.)
