Recently we had a request to rename 2 existing breakdowns (just change their labels to more comprehensive ones).
I had no trouble with that, but the problem showed up on the dashboards:
If I opened any dashboard -> Then an indicator -> go to "Breakdowns" tab, then in the dropdown, the renamed breakdowns appar correctly.
However, if I select one of the breakdowns from that list and dive into one of its scorecards (e.g. go to the second level of breakdowns) and navigate to the "Breakdowns" tab - there the breakdowns which I renamed still have their old names, but function correctly (that means that its only the labels that weren't updated).
It seem as if the breakdown labels for the collected data are stored somewhere, and need to be updated/flushed.
I tried to clear server and my browser chache, looked into the PA table, to see if the collected data had labels stored there. Non of that helped.
Maybe someone can shed some light on to this?

Update:
Found the place where the old Breakdown names were stored.
They can be changed in "Performance Analytics" -> "Breakdown relations"
After updating them, all breakdowns are displayed correctly.

Hi,
To change the name of the breakdown record, you simply go to:
"Performance Analytics" -> "Automated Breakdowns" (if they are automated) -> search for your breakdown in the list and change the "Name parameter.
If you did this and some breakdowns still have old names (like in my situation) - then go to:
"Performance Analytics" -> "Breakdown relations" and change the names of the old breakdowns within the relations to the ones you need.

Hi I wanted to see if we could expand on this topic. I have a need to rename some breakdown labels. The information in this thread seems to suggest this is possible using breakdown relations. However we currently have no breakdown relations established. Does creating one solve for this? I did some digging on breakdown relations and it seems to be a solution for heirarchial breakdowns and that sort of thing. I'm not seeing where it will help me re-label breakdowns (trying to use shorthand so they take up less room on the graph). Assuming there are no existing breakdown relations, how would one change those labels? I gleaned from the other info in this thread that I'll need to clear scores and re-run collections afterward. Thanks for any help you can offer!
Just to be clear, I"m trying to rename the listed breakdowns/choices within a breakdown record. For instance if there was a breakdown record called "Direction" I'm not trying to rename "Direction" to "Dir". Rather I'm trying to rename those breakdowns of "North", "South", "East", and "West" to "N,S,E,W" without changing them in the choice table (they need to stay as is due to other dependencies).
Thanks!
