Hello,
This question should be straightforward. I'm trying to create a pivot table that has rows but no columns. Please refer to the screenshot below for a visual. As you can see in the visual, this is a valid concept and could be used in reporting (if SN lets us).
The problem I have with the SN report designer is that it has made the Columns field mandatory, apparently making it impossible to create a pivot table that has no columns. It spits out "Cannot generate the report. To configure the report, select Row and Column values." Am I missing something, or is ServiceNow's report designer incapable of being configured for such a pivot table? That would be a shame. Thanks!
Kind Regards,
Joseph

Hi - it is not directly, but I can say a workaround. In columns, add field "active" and in the filter also give condition it add one column ( which is better to see all available only). sample output will be,

Thanks Paul, that is helpful. I am aware of that workaround, but this question spurred from a "surely there's a better way, I must be overlooking something" thought, so that workaround isn't what I'm looking for here.
I'd like to start providing my customers a polished solution for this use case rather than just a clunky workaround. I don't like telling my customers "Oh, that active column? Just pretend it's not there. Just focus on the total."
I'm hoping I'm overlooking a simple and polished solution that someone is aware of.
