New integrations for SaaS License Management

Global use of cloud computing services continues to increase year after year and for ITAM teams, this means managing software as a service (SaaS) at scale—and minimizing sprawl—is a growing business imperative. Gartner predicts that by 2022 the global SaaS revenue will reach roughly $145 billion, making it crucial to have the right tools and processes in place to help discover, manage, and secure the SaaS estate.

ServiceNow SaaS License Management includes out-of-the-box integrations with popular applications you may be using today, providing deeper insights and publisher-specific metrics that help drive strategic business decisions when it comes to your cloud-based applications and services. With regular store releases, we’re able to expand our list of OOTB integrations and in the November Store Release, we’re excited to announce integrations with SmartRecruiters, Looker, Broadcom Rally, and Workplace from Facebook.

SmartRecruiters

SmartRecruiters’ Talent Acquisition Suite supports recruitment marketing and collaborative hiring. Examine user activity across 70 actions such as job created, candidate added, job ad created, etc. with automated reclamation workflow to reclaim stale users.

Cloud Insights – Support for Reserved Instances

Reserved Instances refers to a discount billing concept where businesses can obtain significant discounts compared to standard, “on-demand” cloud computing prices by reserving cloud resources for a fixed time period. The difficulty lies in determining how much compute capacity is needed over that specific period — guessing wrong can result in either paying too much due to underutilization, or under-purchasing and needing more compute capacity than expected.

Cloud Insights Reservation Plans supports Reserved Instances for AWS and Azure, helping find new opportunities to purchase reserved instances with recommendations based on usage trends. Monitor current Reserved Instance utilization percentages and get suggestions for modification to ensure utilization matches business needs. Gain visibility into break-even periods, upfront costs, and estimated savings.
