Discovered publisher name displayed instead of the Publisher name in Installs requiring action list

In the License usage for Microsoft, and under the Software product "SharePoint Server" the Software model "Any Version and/or Edition" requires action and the list of these installs displays the Discovered publisher name instead of the Publisher name despite the Discovery model used. Tried to remove the Publisher colon from the header of the list and reinsert it, the display did not change. Why the Discovered publisher name is displayed in place of the Discovery name coming from the Normalization?

Hi @Lionel Falk,

I'm glad I could help you! The details view is the [samp_install_unlicensed_reason] table and I have also installed the “SN Utils” browser plugin, which, among other things, allows you to display the technical names - arnoudkooi.com – Home of SN Utils by Arnoud Kooi

Hi @Lionel Falk,

based on your description, I'm going to assume that the “Installs requiring actions” view is a custom view, since the OOTB view contains far less detail, correct?

Checking my Xanadu SAM Workspace, I'm able to select the columns as they are named in the discovery model form. Please take care, that you dot.walk into the discovery model record to select the "Discovered Publisher" and the "Publisher" (norm_publisher).

If you search for "Publisher" in the edit list pop-up it will add the field "install_publisher" which is part of the software installation record and not of the discovery model. The search is limited to the table fields, without dot.walking

Hope this helps.

Hi @dreinhardt ,
Nice to read you again, happy new year! And thank you for the answer.

Yes, it is a customized view and as mentioned in the above description I removed the Publisher name from the list of colons and re-inserted it with no change: still the Discovery publisher name displayed. The Publisher displaying the Discovered publisher name comes from the highest level of the fields list proposed by the customization popup window, as shown below by the screenshot. Hence my surprise, since I was expecting to get the "normalized" name although after reflection it is finally logical to display the Discovered publisher name in the list of installations and not the normalized one.

I've changed the view by selecting the Publisher name of the Software product group of fields, and this is fine.

The table names displayed in your screenshot is a great additional information, how do you get them displayed?
