Hello,
My company is looking into removing duplicative software and I am curious how others have gone about analyzing this in SAMPro. I know there is a feature in Spend Detection, but I don't think that is really the best option.
Has anyone setup a report to combine the Software Product & Software Model tables in order to get the application's Product Classification field matched with a Software Model?

Using the Reporting module, this is rather straightforward. Create the report against the SW Model table with a "group by" on the related product classification. In the screenshot below, there are a number of overlapping spreadsheet applications because the demo data has SW Models for a number of Excel versions. If there had been other spreadsheet applications in this instance, they would also have shown up in the grouping.
