When using Removal Candidate for Software Reclamation in Software Asset Management, it is possible to notify the user assign to the software to reclaim.
In that case a Approval is created and affected to the end user.
As normal user (requester) do not have aprroval rights, he cannot approve the Removal Candidate unless we assign the approval_user role.
As the Removal Candidate workflow is part of Software Asset Management, I would like to know if there is an agreement to allow end user to approve 'Removal Candidate' without having the associated cost of ServiceNow license for approval user (approval_user right) ?
Thanks.

Hi francois,
Approval requires ITIL role, however for users not having ITIL role, an Email is sent for their approval. The High Level process is documented here. Also those not having ITL role, will see the task on the ESC Portal as well.

Hi Srinivas,
Appreciate for your response. I have a question this and i have a scenario like this " Suppose in the removal candidates , some of the records is in "Awaiting revocation "state and the justification is "Restricted Software". And i know that if the justifictaion is "restricted software" the the removal record is in "Awaiting revocation". What is the next step or state of this removal candidates ? Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi @snow57,
- Navigate to All > Workflow Editor > Open "Reclamation Workflow"
- Open the step "Stage: Awaiting Revocation Run orchestration workflow"
The SAM Pro license grant the permission to use the reclamation feature of the Orchestration module. Based on the script of the workflow you've to configure the Orchestration with CSD to remove software (e.g., with SCCM) or the SaaS integration provides a reclamation flow.
Best, Dennis

Thanks your for your quick and helpfull anwser.
Where can I find the documentation that contain the slide you share ?
So if user do not have ITIL right (or approval_user), a mail is sent to the user.
In that case, no approval are created, and the reclamation is on status "awaiting user" until the user anwser the mail of the delay for anwsering is exceeded ?
Thanks again for your help.
