How to Reduce SAMPro Software Product Data

I am currently working on integrating ServiceNow with CTM Planview and retrieving product information for servers, hardware, and software from ServiceNow, which is currently being sourced through Flexera. However, we are facing difficulties with large data sets from the software product table (samp_sw_product). For example, when we transfer data from ServiceNow for a specific server, we receive over 60 normalized software entries for Python, whereas Flexera only provides one entry for Python (Python 3.6). Greatly appreciate any advice on how to categorize the data into higher-level groups or fine tune to minimize the data sent (in the case of Python, ideally one or a few entries instead of 60+).
