I am testing in San Diego, looking at the Hardware Disposal workflow. I can successfully generate a HW Disposal Request and work through the related HW Disposal Tasks, selecting Planned Assets, verifying, etc.
From the Hardware Disposal Request I can easily see the Planned Assets and Disposed Assts list views.
What I want is the ability to look at a given HW Asset or CI and be able to identify the HW Disposal Task (or Request) under which is was Retired/Disposed. I have tried adding the Hardware Disposal Task->Configuration Item Related List on my CI record but the related list shows nothing. Presumably because the CIs are not technically related as Affected CI.
The goal is to be able to respond to an auditor request to prove that a randomly selected Asset has been properly disposed. Ideally we would look up the CI record, scroll to related list, see the related Disposal Task and open it from the CI Related List, then track to the HW Disposal Request to see the Vendor Disposal Job# and attached Certificate of Disposal there.
