"what has been purchased" and "What we are using" both are mismatching for smartsheet

Hi,

My client has purchased 400+ rights for "Smartsheet Enterprise" under ELA agreement and License type is "subscription". When the entitlement has been uploaded the software model has been created as "Smartsheet Smartsheet Enterprises" and DMAP is -DMAP0155359.

But When I made the integration of Smartsheet, I found 2 software models as

Smartsheet Smartsheet Free

Smartsheet Smartsheet Paid

Now how can I make the relation between "what has been purchased" and "What we are using"

Should I change the DMAP or should I change the software model

Note : The PPN used is : SS-ENT-LU-PS

Hi @Ashupakasma ,

You can Update Software Model:  if the existing software models do not accurately represent the purchased entitlements, you may need to adjust or create a new software model.

Ensure that this new or updated model aligns precisely with the entitlements to facilitate accurate license tracking and compliance.

I hope this helps....

Thanks @Sohail Khilji for the answer,

But my question - is it fine to adjust the software model. Because in entitlement its mentioned that we are liable to use "Enterprise edition". But actually we are using "Paid" and " Free" editions. Is it not violating the t&c of publisher?

inorder to manage/handle them you will have do. You are changing on servicenow level not on a publisher level. (This data are for your local management purpose...)

- Verify the details of your software models in ServiceNow.
- Ensure "Smartsheet Smartsheet Enterprises" matches the purchased product.
- Check if "Smartsheet Smartsheet Free" and "Smartsheet Smartsheet Paid" accurately reflect any products used.

To align purchased licenses with usage:
1. Review the "Smartsheet Smartsheet Enterprises" software model.
2. Ensure it accurately represents "Smartsheet Enterprise" purchased under the ELA.
3. If "Smartsheet Smartsheet Free" and "Smartsheet Smartsheet Paid" are not needed, consider deactivating or renaming them for clarity.
4. Check the DMAP -DMAP0155359:
- Confirm it correctly maps to "Smartsheet Smartsheet Enterprises".
- Update it if necessary to ensure proper alignment.

To update:
1. Go to `Software Asset Management > Licensing > Software Models`.
2. Select "Smartsheet Smartsheet Enterprises".
3. Verify details match the purchased "Smartsheet Enterprise".
4. Update the name or details if needed.
5. Go to `Discovery > Discovery Models`.
6. Find DMAP -DMAP0155359.
7. Ensure it maps to "Smartsheet Smartsheet Enterprises".
8. Update the mapping if it points to the wrong model.

By following these steps, you can ensure the software models and entitlements accurately reflect what has been purchased and what is being used.
