Hello Sailesh,

If you are new to Asset Management I'd strongly suggest you take the Software Asset Management Foundations course available from ServiceNow Education Services.  The course will give you a solid foundation from which to begin building your SAM Practice.

I appreciate the legwork Anubhav did to find a video for you on YouTube.  It reflects greatly on his desire to help the greater community of ServiceNow users.  However, the video covers the legacy ITSM SAM plugin and does not accurately reflect deployment of SAM Professional.

Deployment of SAM Professional under most circumstances shouldn't be undertaken alone.  It is a product best deployed by a certified consultant.  If you need a list of ServiceNow Partners who can assist you, the Find a Partner link on https://www.servicenow.com/partners.html is the best place to start.  You can also ask your ServiceNow Account Representative for assistance.

While every project is different with a few commonalities, the primary effort you need to undertake to make your deployment successful is the collection of Software Entitlement purchase data.  While you are taking the training course and exploring Partner options to assist you, you should begin an internal investigation with your Procurement team to identify all of the licenses you've previously purchased as those will need to be entered into ServiceNow.  This, by far, is the longest effort for most organizations.  Getting a headstart before you build a project plan and commit to a timeline will instrumental in your success.

Hey Anubhav,

Thanks for the insight.

Do you have any implementation expertise in the past?

I would like to have any training videos so that it would be helpful to grasp soon.

Thanks
