Is the use of the ITOM Discovery feature essential for managing SaaS licenses with ServiceNow's SAM Pro? Additionally, if ITOM is not implemented, what specific barriers or challenges might arise in managing SaaS licenses with SAM Pro? I would appreciate your insights on this.

Hi @hana0118,

no limitation for your SaaS management without ITOM. SaaS is part of SAM Pro and provide all requirements (out-of-the-box integration and a SaaS framework to connect no supported providers) SaaS License Management

When using SaaS licenses management without ITOM Discovery, are records in the cmdb_software_product_model created automatically, or do all records need to be created manually?

Hi @hana0118,

software models are auto-created based on the Subscription Identifier imported from the portal and mapped with a Discovery Map (DMAP) provided by content library.
