Unlimited License Metric

I have a software title that allows an unlimited number of software installs.   What is the proper way to set up software entitlement/model to track this?   I would rather not enter a random number of software licenses.  Thanks!

Hi there, I am working for a company where I am entering Subscriptions that have unlimited installs as well and every agreement is Enterprise Level, however setting this but where installs are more than the purchased rights then the publisher still remains Not Compliant, the only workaround is to place 9,999,999 purchase rights in or create a Custom Software Product and untick License under management and align a new software model with the custom software product and entitlement.  I have raised this with SN but as yet nothing has been done.

Cody,

Are you saying if I choose ETLA for Adobe or ELA for Microsoft, for example, the status will show as compliant for all titles covered by those agreements?  Even though a reconciliation might show unlicensed installs?

Would we need to incorrectly show the Agreement type as Generic in order to ensure we reported noncompliance on the unlicensed installs?

Just want to ensure I'll be able display the current info on the dashboards and OOTB reports.

Thanks

Here is a snip of Microsoft Project products covered under Enterprise Subscription Agreement.

Notice that Project is green even though the rights consumed > active rights.

What you do see is a True-up Cost.   This is what you focus on for these type of Agreements.

Hope this helps!
