What components of SCCM Asset Intelligence are required for using the SCCM integration with ServiceNow and pulling in software from Asset Intelligence?

I'm having trouble finding information on what the various components/features of Asset Intelligence do. I've reached out to an SCCM admin who is a friend but who knows nothing of ServiceNow.
i'm hoping between this post and my friend that I can get the answer I need.
Thank you!!

Hi Melinda,
Yes, we do have an imports that look at Asset Intelligence.
Note that both of the Asset Intelligence mappings are set to "false" in the out of the box integration.
Here is a snip...
With <SAM-Professional>, we don't require the extra data points collected with Asset Intelligence.
The <Central Software Library> will successfully normalize Discovery Models without Asset Intelligence turned on.
Here is another snip...
I think the Asset Intelligence imports are left in as option for customers who continue to use the legacy SAM plugins.
Hope this helps!

Hi Cody,
We currently have SCCM integration set up without Asset Intelligence. We are also planning to enable the SAM foundation plugin:
https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/london-it-service-management/page/product/software-asset-management2/concept/c_SoftwareAssetMgmtSAMF.html
Do you think there is a need to enable the Asset Intelligence imports and also use SAM foundation? Or would you think its better to just use SAM and leave the SCCM import as is with no Asset Intelligence?
I've been trying to get a good answer on this but no luck so far.
Thanks,
Steve
