Visibility of catalog item in portal

Hi,

We just build few catalog items and provide user criteria for accessing the catalog. While searching in portal I am able to find out the catalog item but while opening it ,getting an error as "item not found".

Someone please help me on this issue... As an admin I am not able to open the item and as an authorized user as well it is not opening. Checked on the portal settings as well, not checked any hide option.

Have you tried removing the user criteria from one of the items (essentially then it should be available for all users) to see if the issue persists?

Item not found is a strange error to see. I'd maybe expect "you are not authorized".

Any other differences between these items and the items you can find? Different category? Different class of item? Different Catalog?

I hope this helps!

Yes ..that's also tried...as of now only one catalog is having the criteria and other one is not having...but the same issue is happening.

No difference between the other items...all are comes under service catalog of same category, in same service

Hi Asha,

Have you checked 'Hide on portal' checkbox field on catalog item form. If its set to true your item will not be available on portal. Check once this is OOTB field present on maintain item/catalog item form. There can be some cases if particular catalog item does not to be in portal so this can be marked as true.

If this checkbox is set to true then mark it as False as you want it to be available on portal .Check once if it works or not. I think this the main thing to check related to portal availability of particular item. Other thing you can check is see if there is Catalog client script written at Portal level for anything related to hiding.

Please mark my answer as Correct/Helpful if it helps you to find the solution.

Hi Apurva,

"Hode on Portal" is not checked in the catalog form also there is no particular script for this item
