Add search box to Homepage?

Hello SNow Community we have a starting homepage for most of our users and some requested to have a search box directly placed to the homepage (not Service Portal!). I cannot find a search box item by default:

Anyone idea how to add a simple search box to Homepages?

Go to Content Management -> Pages and find Portal - Search Results in it. In the page change the content site to the one which you have setup for your instance. Try this and see if it is opened in your custom ESS portal.

Hello Alikutty,

thanks for your proposal. I tried to remove content page but then the result page was messed up. But i did not want to create a complete new content site. On the other side your hint gave me idea to try following in search content block:

and this gave same result (directly in main frame) as default global search exactly the way i wanted to have it:

Maybe this helps others in fututre.
