Adding Excel in Description of service catalog item

We have requirement to add excel sheet in service catalog item, so users can download the excel fill , all details as asked in excel and upload it again to catalog and Submit the request.

Cannot do it from Description as Insert image/edit >   Attachments doesn't support excel formats.

Can anyone please suggest

You could attach the file via the paperclip at the top of the record producer record, then add a link using Insert/Edit link and change the type to attachment, select your attached file.

I like to attach the document in question to a knowledge article and then link to the knowledge article from your item description.
