Hello all
I am complete newbie to any type of automation as well as PowerShell.
We run Service Now at my place of work and I'd like to try and automate the creation of a change request.
It's something I do fairly regularly and learning to automate it would be most useful.
Has anyone done this before?
I'd appreciate any comments or advice on where to start.
Thank you in advance

What are you trying to do? Can you describe your process so it is understood under which conditions the CR should be created, what should happen with it etc?

Hi there
Thanks very much for the reply.
Id like to be able to run a script that opens Service Now and populates enough required fields to generate a change request but not submit it for approval.
So most fields already completed - approvers, details, dates, assignment group, etc.
I'm then happy to manually change a few things like the dates and perhaps the detailed changes in the description fields.
Essentially I'd like a template to open that I can make a few minor manual changes to and then submit the change request for approval.
I hope that makes sense?

Hi Paul,
Maybe take a look at Standard Change catalogue, this may fit your need in regards to using templates - Standard change catalog
