Can I delete a form view?

I am using domain separation and we have our 3 domains set up as.

TOP
TOP/SUB1
TOP/SUB2

We began by modifying a specific form view in TOP for all the sub domains to share and it was working great. Then SUB1 wanted a small change that we made on TOP/SUB1 which made it so our changes to TOP no longer took place when viewing the record on SUB1.

My question is - can I go into UI View and simply remove it (the 2nd list in the form tab below) from the subdomain specific "form" from the table below and have things go back to normal? If I do this, will it by default start using the form view under the TOP domain again?

Don't remove the view - that's used across all forms that reference it (e.g. removing ess view would impact a LOT of forms/tables).

instead, remove the sections related to the table you wish to remove the view from. I prefer to go to the table sys_ui_section, find the entry that matches the table and view that I want to affect and make changes there.
