Cancelled Task displaying as "Completed" for Customer in Portal

Hi All,
Have been looking around and can not get a clear answer on this subject. As the Assigned To user I have cancelled an HR Task within the Lifecycle Event Activity set. When impersonating the customer of the case I can see cancelled task in my view. Is Cancelled considered completed? What Request Status can I choose to achieve my goal of tracking the "cancelled" task and not having it displayed for the Customer?

Hi @aguanci ,
OOTB, if the HR task has been cancelled , the assigned to person should not see the Task on Employee center. It would not be considered as Completed as well.
See below, i have cancelled the task, the employee doesn't see it on portal:

Thank you for your response! Let me add some context. We are utilizing Journeys with a Lifecycle Event Case. The Task that is being Cancelled is within the Activity Set. Here is what it looks like on the back end:
