Hi All,
Good afternoon!!
I am creating clone profiles, and the target instance needs to create for Dev and Test Environment which requires user credentials.
So instead of using my user account which has OKTA setup, I thought of creating local account in Service Now, below are few questions I have:
1. what roles needs to be added to the user (example Clone_User), Currently I just added clone_admin and clone_admin_profile .
2. I inactivated the MFA as it might be causing error while connecting to the lower environments, and should it be inactive until the clone process is done in DEV and Test?
Please help me
Thankyou

1. The clone user needs to have the admin role (that's also what is said in the popup when you add it).
2. Inactivate MfA for just that user, then you won't have an issue. You don't need to reactivate it, if you are only using that user for cloning. To ensure it keeps working, make sure the user you are using for this, is also on PROD, so it is included in the clone, or set preservers to have it reapplied after the clone is done.

Hi Mark,
Good evening!!
The Mutli factor is already inactivated for this user, but there is a multi-factor criteria which is on admin user, while creating the target instance, I had issues and got error 'invalid username and password', then I just inactivated the multi-factor criteria and I was able to create the target instance with the credentials.
Now I still have a question in my mind that when clone is scheduled maybe it might fail because of the multi factor criteria, so I tried to login with that account(clone_user) and enable MFA window pops up. If I activate the multi factor criteria, does it fail the cloning process?Do I need to inactivate it?
Or does the cloning logging process skip MFA?
Appreciate your help!!
Thank you
