difference between audited table deletion and normal table deletion?

I just had a question In PDI I created X, Y tables and created sample records, out of them for X  table I went to dictionary for collection type and I kept audit as True and for Y table i didn't.

In both the cases I am able to delete them and able to restore through sys_metadata_delete and Deleted records.

In that case what makes difference here?
Note: I have read some articles that we can get back only audited tables but not others.

Hi there,

To undelete records, you don't need Audit to have turned on. You do need to have Audit Delete on. Sound like you didn't change this (default its on, you can disable this by adding a attribute on the collection dictionary entry), though only the Audit. So it sounds correct that you were able to undelete records.

Its like I mentioned, Audit true/false does not matter for undeleting records.
