Empty results in global search

Hello,

I had a user ask if there is any way to hide the empty results in the global search. Does anyone know if an option to do that exists?

Uncheck the boxes at the top of the global search results which show what has been searched and re-run the search.

This might not be as effective for the Tasks search, but my task results don't look like yours. Mine lists next to the task total which tables extended off of the task table didn't have any results.

These were the results I got using the global search in the upper right corner screen as a fulfiller, so maybe you are looking at a different spot for your searching.

That looks like the legacy global search we have cut over to the new global search UI. 

That exact flexibility is what they are looking for though just in the new UI.

Ah yes, you are correct. I just hunted down the Change I made back in November (after we upgraded to Jakarta) where I switched our global search back to legacy...we did it for two reasons:

"The new Global Search format in Jakarta seems to be having some issues with some versions of IE10 where the index disappears. Also, the results that return do not give any preview of the details of the ticket, so each list needs to be opened and searched through to try to locate the item needed."

Do you find you have those issues as well? We are mostly now on IE11, but there are still some stragglers. The other issue about not being able to see a preview of the first few tickets/results was a huge show-stopper for our team members. They hated that extra click when the answer would have been right on the screen in front of them before.

No, we haven't had those issues reported. To be honest though when someone experiences issues and admits to using IE let alone IE 10 we usually ask them to change over to a modern browser.
