Exclude KB Articles from Service Portal search results

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a way to exclude some KB articles (or even better, a category/subcategory) from the Service Portal search results, to obtain a similar behaviour to the catalog_item's "no_search" flag.
Searching in the community, I haven't found any solution directly applicable except by modifying the scripts in "search_source" but there wasn't any reference to the flag mentioned above.
How can we solve this problem?
