Feature Content on individual Knowledge Bases

Do you know how to customize it so I can pin featured content to an individual KB instead of the Knowledge Base homepage(where I see all the different KB at the top)? I read you can add a system property and give that KB a unique keyword but I can't get it to work. Can anyone give me some pointers? I am sure I am setting up the system Property wrong. I can't see where you say which KnowledgeBase use this keyword. Any help would be great!

I was trying to use the guide that servicenowkevin provided but didn't figure it out. Looks like abeers figured it out. Can either of you explain a little more to me? Thank you!

Now to see if I can remember what I did...



So basically, I use the same keyword for all the KBs and then since different knowledge articles are assigned to different KBs, only the knowledge articles in the specific KB will show up under Featured Content


To add the "pinned articles", it's a two step process,


1st--Go here and add the word "homepage" (or whatever you want to use)

2nd--open the KB you want the article to be pinned to then add it to the Featured content using the steps servicenowkevin provided:

The problem I was having is I forgot to move the articles I wanted to pin to the correct KB...so that was embarrassing! lol


So when you assign an article to the homepage to(we will say) Retail Tech Knowledge Base... will it ALSO show up to the homepage of Knowledge Bases? Then when you click on Retail Tech knowledge base you see it in featured content there as well? Does that make sense?


Yeah, that is correct--so all the "pinned" articles will show on the main Knowledge Bases page and then when you click on an individual knowledge base (like Retail Tech) you will only see the pinned retail tech articles.


Wow. I think I over complicated this. Sometimes I forget that I have admin rights and can see everything. I was worried that every single "pinned" article will show up on the main Knowledge Base page. And they will if you have permissions to see all of them. But if the article has a role called "Retail Tech" then if you have that role you will see it on the main page but if you don't have that role, you won't see it on the main Knowledge Base page. Doh. I really appreciate all of your help! I believe I got this figured out!
