We upgraded to Kingston which changed the view for our Global Search. It also changed the search to list all tables, regardless if anything matches.
We want just the items that match to show up. Is there anyway to set our view to that?

Take a look at System Properties > Global Text Search.
You should be able to modify the list of Tables (comma-separated) that will not appear as a option.
You can enter the tables here that you want to ignore during a Global Text search.
Another option that may work. Some of the ServiceNow property fields will allow you to leave the field blank to ignore all types or fields. You can try that as another option. I have not tested this for this particular field.
The Property name is glide.ui.no_text_search.

Hi,
I have the same issue. In istanbul it was possible to not display tables with no record that matches.
https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/istanbul-platform-administration/page/administer/search-administration/reference/r_GlobalSearchPreferences.html
How to have the same behavior in Kingston ?
In fact, the display in overloaded with table header that have no records that matches the search and you have to scroll a lot to find out the records.
Regards,
Guillaume

There seems to be no option to exclude search groups with 0 results. What is the purpose of showing tables with 0 results? At least tables with results should be at the top of the results page, and not hidden below a log list of tables with 0 results.
