Google Chrome crashing when a list view loads on MacOS

When using the latest Chrome stable release (90.0.4430.93 (Official Build) (x86_64)) on MacOS Big Sur (11.3.1 (20E241)), I have been experiencing frequent crashes of Google Chrome when a list view in ServiceNow loads. It doesn't crash every time a list view loads, but it's frequent enough to be a major issue. The entire browser (not just a tab or window) completely crashes and I must relaunch the app afterwards. This seems to happen more frequently if the list view has grouped results, but not always. It can happen when looking at a list, a form with a related list, or a list-based report. There haven't been any changes in the ServiceNow environments I use recently. The only change I know of is that I got the Chrome update the week of 4/26/2021. MacOS had been updated 3/23/2021 (11.2.3) and then 5/4/2021 (11.3.1). This issue started the week of 4/26, if I remember correctly.

I know others have been experiencing this, but has anyone been able to determine the cause or a fix? I doubt it's anything that ServiceNow did recently (this happens in Paris and Quebec for me), but I'm guessing it's related to the latest stable Chrome version.

I just tried all the steps you asked and it didn't crash. The crashes have been very infrequent. I just installed Version 94.0.4606.61 (Official Build) (x86_64) a few minutes ago before I tried the steps you suggested.

I've still been experiencing this periodically on Chrome 94.0.4606.81 on Mac OS 11.6 (20G165). It's not as bad as it once was, but still highly problematic.

Just got the Chrome update to 95.0.4638.54 (Official Build) (x86_64). I keep saying this, but #fingerscrossed.

This hasn't been an issue in many months. Has anyone still experienced the frequent Chrome on macOS crashes?
